Beginning And The End Poem by Sandile mngadi.

Beginning And The End

I still remember the first day we met
You were this young beautiful girl everyone talked off
I still remember when the guys introduced me to you
You smiled, shake my hand and said “hi”
I never knew whether to smile or grasp the moment
You were so beautiful that I was told to let go of your hand
I could not stop myself from glancing
You were so me that I found myself looking at me in you

I had this desire to know you and express how I saw you
Begged my friend for your contact
I finally got them and contacted you
Being the lady that you are sad no to us meeting at first
I had to dig deep in my convincing skills
Began planning and then we met
It took me 6 months for me to convert your values of dating me
We dated best thing ever

I was your first love
You were my everything
I was what you never thought dating was about
You were my dream girl
What I had imagined about relationship
What you never thought a relationship was all about

I remember I made you sleep out for the first time
Come home the next day no one wanted to talk to you
Parents little girl was growing and they saw their princess becoming someone else’s queen
Thought that was at the end of their minds
Your mom did not slept the day you were with me
She had to answer million questions from your father where you were at.
At some stage they had thought something must have happened to you
Tears in your mothers eyes also a reminder of her youth

Years went by
The love started getting old as we aged in a relationship
My eyes now started to not see any beauty in you
The desire vanishing each time we did not see eye to eye
Coming home late for no main reason
Coming with all types of excuse like I was working late

One day at this club having drinks with my boys
A blond come in
I was tipsy
I became sober same time
I found myself paging memories of happiness
I did not want go home anymore
I stood up and went to her
Asked if I can buy her a drink
She glanced at me and said “yes you may”
I asked her a name
She said “my love”
I was taken blown away
I forgot about my eyes only
The one I got in-trouble with her parents
It was our end a blond made me blond and forgot my eyes only
My beginning became my end
