Behind The Red Line Poem by Megan Loney

Behind The Red Line

To be behind the red line of society
Is a tough place to be
No money, no food just liberties
No hope, no future for the ones you love
It's as sad as the cry of a mourning dove
Just when you think it's better, it's not
You hear that you're still behind the red line of society

But when you're ahead of the line
No worries, no cares,
Still a hope, a dream and a cause
Your world is still happy and bright
You go outside, put all your worries on a kite
And let them fly away

When you are on the red line of society
You worry you will go behind
And dream you will move ahead
You always have to think, worry or dream
That life will come or go
You still have to worry but still have to care
So when you are on the red line of society...
Walk ahead.
