Commiting A Crime Poem by Megan Loney

Commiting A Crime

In the darkness,
There she lies.
Her pillows comfort her
As she cries.

The cuts on her wrists
Is were she's bled.
Fishnets hide,
A parents dread.

The blood, it drips,
From blade to floor.
Fears that haunt her,
Won't anymore.

Her eyes grow heavy,
Her limbs grow weak
And her tongue feels fat,
She cannot speak.

As she fades,
Darkness turns to light.
She looses all
Her will to fight.

Her eyes, they shut
To the world outside.
And for one brief moment,
She's freed from her mind.

Suddenly, she's scared.
She doesn't want to die.
But knows that it's too late
And she begins to cry.

A lie made her believe,
That death was the easy way out.
So now she'll never know,
What life is all about.

Eyes that used to cry,
Shut for the last time.
Who'd have ever thought,
She could commit this crime?
