Behind The Windows That Are Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Behind the windows that are your eyes,
there is an empty room,
unlived in and unwelcoming,
now a cold and dusty tomb.

Memories of happy days,
and long sultry summer nights,
Evicted! when they
switched of the lights.

Warm room of memories,
now cold and eternally dark,
travelling thoughts blinded,
once you lost your spark.

Now, demons squat in the darkness,
emerging from the shadowy black,
suffocating all remaining hope,
during there deathly attack.

Even the windows are now glazed,
i remember when they sparkled
during those happier days.

Echoes of medicated battle's
rebound from wall to wall,
the room vibrates and cracks,
from the sheer violence of it all.

Behind the windows that are your eyes,
there is a man looking out,
praying to the gods in the rich blue skies..
