Being Like Jesus Poem by Randy McClave

As the Holy Bible had stated
Jesus never not once hated,
We Christians believe what our Lord taught
We also believe what the Lord had sought.
Jesus never not once did judge
Jesus never spread rumors or held a grudge,
Many of the things that we Christians now do or say
For us, Jesus would pray.
Jesus never spread gossip or rumors
He cured blindness and diseases like tumors,
He never stood for greed or ever told a lie
And he never cheated or bullied or harassed is my reply.
Because, of him I became a Christian
From his teachings I did listen,
I wanted to become the way Jesus had wanted
My belief is forever in him, and not undaunted.
I don't mock or ridicule others
Because, Jesus said we all are true sisters or brothers,
And if it's not spoken in the Bible
I then believe it being trifle.
Jesus spoke of love and forgiveness and peace
Which in heaven it is found and it will not ever cease,
And until the day that we get there
For others we should give our love and forgiveness and a prayer.
The Old Testament was written for the Jews
From theirs acts and sins and faith and views,
The New Testament was written for all of us
For our love and our belief and the teachings of Jesus.
I have read the Bible again and again
And I know the Lord forgives anyone of any sin,
When we hate, mock, bully, judge or ridicule and condemn
Then tell me, how like Jesus are we being like him.
