Being Saved Doesn't Make Us Perfect Poem by Gary James Smith

Being Saved Doesn't Make Us Perfect

Being Saved Doesn't Make Us Perfect

Being saved doesn't make us perfect
For we still have sin in our lives
But God is a loving and forgiving God
Who knows of our tears and our sighs
And when we come to Him in brokenness
He's swift to attend to that prayer
That says...' please forgive me dear Father'
Praise God He will meet us there!

Don't hold on to past sin in your life
For Christ has broken those chains
That have bound you steadfast in your sin for so long
It's become your habit to wear them again
But be freed by His love and His great grace
For they are all sufficient for you
For if we confess our sins unto our God
He's faithful and just to make us anew

Walk in forgiveness...God's breath of fresh air!
And delight yourself in the Son
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith
Where fresh victories are to be won
Enjoy His forgiveness...It came at a price!
His shed blood at Calvary
Look on Him saint...His sight is glorious
For He's a Resurrected Saviour to me! ! !

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
