Tenacity In Prayer Poem by Gary James Smith

Tenacity In Prayer

Rating: 5.0

Tenacity In Prayer

Lord please give me a tenacity in prayer
A sticktoitness if you will
Help me not to deviate from it
Though the task be monumental
For this is where the heart is warmed
And where its warned as well
Time is of the essence here
There is a place called Hell

We have a Salvation we can't keep to ourselves
For we have been truly blessed
We know that we have been forgiven of our sin
And indwelt by the Spirit no less
Christ lives in us...part and parcel
He is our everything!
Praise God although we are burdened
We still His praises can sing

Lord You are holding us accountable
For we are our brother's keeper
Help us to keep this focus in mind
And not to fall asleep here
For we have found the greatest treasure
Was it not ours...given to share
Let's initiate the wherewithal and means
By having daily tenacity in prayer!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

A wonderful spiritual write. Yes, we must have great determination in prayer. Well crafted and conveyed.

A fine and lofty verse. `Faith Keeps Those That Keep The Faith' By Mother Teresa.
