Being Told What Is Good For Us Poem by james watkin

Being Told What Is Good For Us

Like a manic swirling
Round about the head
By a lying world of ideas
Are we accosted.

If one is not careful
Each pleasure garden
Vaunted of, sweet bird-voiced
Endless satifies
If not debt-sinking, will disguise
A snake-o'errun fen.
