Belated Valentine Wishes Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Belated Valentine Wishes

You looked, you sought, but did not find
A poem today from me,
I'm sorry but there was no Muse,
Within my heart for thee.

Although it was St. Valentine's Day,
And you are my love so true,
The words from within me,
Would not form a poem for you.

Try as I do, to write in verse,
It can happen occasionally,
That words will not poems become,
When I want them, instantly.

My thoughts were there, my wishes too,
To profess my continued love,
My Darling Wife whom I adore,
But live so far from thee.

Now that the day is nearly o'er,
My pen dost flow with words,
To profess to you my enduring love,
To my Wife, whom I adore.
