You're a good Christian when you go to Church
When you listen to and also read a Bible verse,
And when the Pastor speaks how we should not sin
You always raise your hands and reply with an, "Amen"!
You're a good Christian in Church when you say a prayer
When you pray for the sick and the lost souls not there,
And when you stand up and sing a soulful beautiful hymn in praise
You're a beautiful soul seen and heard in Church those Sundays.
You're a good Christian in Church when the needy you help clothe
And in Church when you help the poor as if with an oath,
In Church you help and pray for those ridiculed and mocked
In Church by you they are never mistreated or blocked.
Never in Church do you spread or listen to rumors or gossip
Sins of evil or of hate you wish never to create or fire up,
In Church you always wear a beautiful smile on your face
Which shows Jesus's love and forgiveness and his ultimate grace.
You are truly a good Christian when you sit on a pew
And how you pray for the suffering that many are going through,
And when the collection plate is handed to you for tithes
You always give with love, and joy in your eyes.
You remember how our lord Jesus was mocked and then crucified
How rumors and gossip and hate about him was spread and lied,
And how we all truly know that the Lord Jesus died for all of us
And the great forgiveness given to all by our Lord Jesus.
In Church you are seen and known as a good and caring Christian
To whom the congregation and the children enjoy to listen,
But, whenever you leave the Church's door
You then become not a good Christian anymore.
