Bells and garments
Great was my Dad in
-telling us stories
-and teaching
Among what I recall
-are of goats
-cows, donkeys
Wearing bells
-in times, ties
Though he had the Mullah
-as joker and Ostad
-as well as Bohlool who
-was one of siblings
-to a famous Caliph
- "Haroon"; an exception
-among the old leaders
-who left and departed
-Baghdad to where is now:
-called Mashhad in Iran;
-his era was super for schools
Dad used these referrals
-to tell us about life
-in this way he taught us:
- "Dress-codes can misguide
-wearers and those who watch! "
"Wise shall not be part of;
-either one! "
In old days
-in mountains
-and plains
-where was born
-and was raised
-for some years
-we had lambs
-sheep and goats
-we gave them to shepherd
Each morning he took them
-walked them for self-graze
-brought them at sunset
Shepherd had his belled-goat
-we saw it when went to bring ours
Children we were and loved the pets
-animals were great
-in that way
-we watched herds, admired
-running goats raising dust
-happy to reach babies
- (that knew needed milk)
Leader was, as it felt
-goat, wearing largest bell
"Be aware of the Bell and garments…"
-Dad said: "The two have
-fooled the goat, mullah's hosts
-of being best leader!
-or rich and the learned! "
Though long dead,
-I see dad everywhere,
-in courts of palaces like
-and White-House one of them
- "Go to hell! " dad tells them:
- "All of you are some shit…"
-I repeat very same slogan;
-that I love! And recall
- "A King asked his men for a favour:
- "When am gone
- set my dead in casket…
-take me round…everywhere…
-bury me in place where people…
-can give you the reason."
The Will was ended in the-today-Hamadan:
- "Meant to say, came and went penniless! "
-so, the city was renamed: "All Aware."
