Bend Poem by Rokket Grrl

I've got this idea inside my head
That you'll say the words I desperately dread
You'll say them with ease like they're easy to say
And they'll echo in my head and always stay
But when I said those words to you they were like gravel in my throat
And they were even worse, when they were finally wrote
I saw the change that they brought and I know how they feel
But I'm very sorry to say the cure wasn't real
You try to tell the world to stop and turn the other way
Because you think you can turn back time and make it all okay
Try not to take this to the heart, but I think we've found the end
And I hope we won't turn around when our path starts to bend
