The Eye Of The Storm Poem by Rokket Grrl

The Eye Of The Storm

The clouds start to move in for the attack
The shade of them quite scares me, they're blacker than black
Lightning rips through them and so does a puma's claws
The thunder let's out a crackle and then a deafening pause
And we stand stalk still, struck head to toe with fear
And all we can do is stand here, as the monster grows near
I start to scream, while tears roll down my cheeks
And the clouds roll over the snowy grey mountain peaks
The rain starts to come, it drizzles down my face
And darkness begins covers this once bright and beautiful place
You stand still beside me, with terror in your eyes
And we watch as all light slowly and sadly dies
We can't do anything to get out
We're stuck here with our pain and doubt
We long for home, smiles, something warm
But we can't get out, we're in the eye of the storm
