Bending Time Poem by Rik Bertrand

Bending Time

Rating: 5.0

We are oceans away,
Your day is my night.
We are never the same,
Your darkness is my light.

I want to bend time in half
So that we may touch.
Bend time in half,
That’s not asking for much.

Just take the time I have here,
And push and bend it there.
I think that it will work,
I think it’s only fair.

You are always sleeping,
While I am waking.
This life we have together
Is so forsaking.

I want to bend time in half,
I want to touch your hand.
I want to be there with you,
Walking in the sand.

Our love is reaching,
Our spirits are seeking.
I want to be close to you
Face to face speaking.

I want to bend time in half
So that we may hug as one
I want bend here and there
So we are together in the sun
