Beautiful Sprites Poem by Rik Bertrand

Beautiful Sprites

Standing on my front porch, it is late into the night,
Standing here looking out, it is such a wonderful sight.
I know that I am not alone, I see the little sprites,
I see you flying all around, you are such sweet delights.

Are you here to comfort my soul, and put me in a mood?
I could really use an uplift, and a full order of soul food.
You are always here as needed, to catch my fallen tears,
And wipe away all my sorrow and take away my fears.

My beautiful little sprites, my loving and adoring friends,
You stay here and comfort me, until my pain descends.
Your perfume scent devours me, and caresses my heart,
The essence of your beauty is of a supernatural sort.

I am standing on my front porch, in the presence of the spirits,
And by all accounts and all accords I love their little visits.
They are always here to lift my hopes and all my inspirations,
Oh, how I love these sprites, one of Gods Heavenly creations.

REB (FEB 2012) Inspiration from Carolyn King as she stands on her porch late at night.
