Beneath her smile, her broken heart,
Some guy had access to,
The guy who played her from the start,
You know, like some guys do.
A genius in many ways,
Yet he was so unkind,
He flattered her with awesome praise
Enough to steal her mind.

Her bad decisions from then on,
Led her astray so fast,
And then, one morning, he was gone,
Her love affair's now past.
She felt completely mortified,
Now left upon the shelf,
A broken heart, and not his bride,
Back then she blamed herself.

His promises were well-played schemes,
A billion guys had used,
His victim left with broken dreams,
Amazed, ashamed, abused.
Her teenage years had come and gone,
She kept her hate concealed,
Still burdened by her lover's con,
Her sad heart hadn't healed.

That was until she went to Church,
Invited by her friend,
To find true love, for which some search
Until their lives must end.
The Cross of Christ, explained that day,
Relieved her of her pain,
She found Lord Jesus was the way
She could be born again.

When she forgave her lover's lies,
Lord Jesus helped her heal,
The Bible opened up her eyes
And proved God's love was real.
Despite the sins that sinners do,
Christ died, the King of Love,
Upon His Cross, He died for you,
So, isn't that enough?

For her, it was Salvation Day,
Forgiveness from God's Throne,
Because to Him she kneels to pray,
She knows she's not alone.
God's promise of eternal life,
Transcends both space and time.
Transcends each burden and each strife,
Forevermore sublime.

Beneath her smiles, her heart has warmed
No longer cold as ice,
Her heart and mind have been transformed
With dreams of Paradise!
Who knows how many souls are lost?
And yet, it's not too late!
The Bible says, Christ paid the cost!
The day love conquered hate!
