Beneath The Chilling Water Poem by Sven Rhoads

Beneath The Chilling Water

The bliss of a frozen morning
Has come to greet me again
And the strong ever longing
To spread my wings and fly away
Out of the woods, my shelter
Calm is the water of the bog
Like the birds of a feather
Free from the watchful god

Breathe in the air so cold
As I drift into the deep
Seep into my soul 'til full
Here beneath the chilling water

Take the poison from my mind
How I want to come to forget
For the memories that I find
In my life they can no longer fit
Under the surface I'm cleansing
Where all the pain numbs away
The bruised up soul I am mending
Before the start of a brand new day

Leaves will cease their falling
The first flakes will soon arrive
I can hear the battles calling
Another chance to feel alive
Purged of negativity
Stepping on this autumn land
Its time to face reality
Like the axe, the future is in my hands

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wash myself of their filthy damning words, this day belongs to me
