Best Gift Poem by Doreenda Nikoi Kotei

Best Gift

You're your most priceless gift!
No present on earth can be compared to you,
You're alive today to do wonderful things.
Be happy for yourself,
Be proud of your being,
And be content with your life!
What are cars, mansions and properties compared to your life?
Others had money, riches and wealth but are in the hospitals and morgue today,
Why don't you just give thanks for the life you have?

You're your most invaluable jewel!
Your name, age, gender, nationality, physique, gait, temperaments, abilities and personality,
All these portray your natural uniqueness,
There are people out there who will move heaven and earth to have someone like you.
Do yourself no harm. You're specially made.
What are clothing, perfumes and jewelries compared to your health?
Some had power, fame, position and authority but are in the prisons today.
Why don't you sing praises and be appreciative!

You're your most sought-after star!
The favour on your life,
The grace you carry,
The glory surrounding you,
The blessings you bear,
The anointing for your assignment,
And the wisdom for your purpose on earth are unmatched and beyond compare!
What are worries, troubles and struggles compared to your destiny?
Some earned prestigious titles: emeritus, professor, doctor, your highness, her majesty, honorable and more,
But today, there are no more and their memories are wiped out!
Why don't you lift your hands in the air and shout 'Hallelujah! '
You're your best gift!
