Betrayed Illusion Poem by Goar Fredriksen

Betrayed Illusion

Ride the nordic wind,
through the bloodstained
snow of fallen solar kings,
dissolve into the mind
thy memories about two souls
burial place, methinks with time
you'll tame these thoughts
that sosoon will be turned
into the royal lace,
avoid the brigantines and never
show them path through bloodstained ice,
we can't betray ancestors of our infatuation,
even though wanderer dies,
never bother again my soul friend,
do not close eternity gates,
do not unchain the wolves,
I'm on the way, but don't wait to hear
the knocking of frozen hooves,
I'll come not as their reflection...
I'll come again to see the howling wolves
that missed their queen so far,
I'll come again to see these empty corridors
and halls, I'll come again to vainly inhale your smell,
and I'll weep out all the blood with broken dreams
and thoughts of you,
so tender, so dead to be true...
