Between Heartbeats Poem by soren Barrett

Between Heartbeats

In a footstep suspended, time vanishes
Tick of clock extended, moments it banishes
Grasping threads, past sticky cobwebs
Leaving impressions in beds of tricky passionate throb ebbs

Seconds clamped in a vice, an hourglass gagged
Images stamped in ice thawing minutes lagged
Sands of time cemented, hands of a clock fixed
Movement a crime, today and tomorrow forever betwixt
