Between Me And God (A Friend Fighting Cancer) Poem by Ray Hansell

Between Me And God (A Friend Fighting Cancer)

Rating: 5.0

Last night when I hit my knees
To say my nightly prayers
For the first time ever
I asked God if he was there?

I asked Him for a favor
But it wasn't for me
If you just read on
I think that you will see

I asked God if He had
A miracle or two
I told Him it wasn't for me
But that it was for you

I told Him how you needed help
To fight a deadly for
But He just answered slowly
With the words, I know

He said, you don't need a miracle
All you have to do is believe
Through the power of faith
There is so much one can achieve

He said, sometimes I throw a curve
Even to the very best
He wants to see how you respond
He said, it's part of life's test

He promised to watch over you
To bless you every day
He knows you're a believer
He feels your faith come his way

All He asks of you is that
You keep up the good fight
He says between the two of you
Things will work out all right

In prayer that is done at night you have asked several things to God. Sometimes he gives curve and sometimes promises. Things will work out all right while we shall keep faith on him. Brilliant poem is wisely penned and shared here.10
