Betwixt & Between - Poem by George Hunter

Betwixt and between,
Betwixt and between,
It's got me in the middle.
In the middle of what?
I just don't know
That's why I call it a riddle

It's got scraggly hair
And no underwear
And a great big rotund belly.
It's the worstest scene
My eyes have seen
In horror shows on the telly.
I try and I try
But it makes me cry
And turns my knees to jelly.

If I tell you more it'll get real sore
And there's no ielling what it will do.
I tell you true, it makes me blue
It's makin' a wreck outta me.
I've got to get out of this terrible fix
‘Fore this dreadful thing
Decides to get it's kicks
And drowns me in the sea.

So it's betwixt and between
In this sorry scene
This thing is getting mighty frisky.
It's closing in and it will be a sin
If I don't change my brand of whisky!
