Beyond Control Poem by Edwina Reizer

Beyond Control

She played her heart out
on everyday.
Her fingers ached
in a delirious way.
But as long as the music
soothed her soul
she could not stop.
It was beyond her control.

She sang her heart out
on every day.
Her throat became dry
in a parched way.
But as long as the lyrics
needed to be heard
she would not stop
for her heart needed to be stirred.

When the nights approached
all was still.
The music lay quiet,
but only until
the next day.
