Beyond The Hills Poem by Naveed Akram

Beyond The Hills

Beyond those realities we see are here as hills,
Shuddering with deadly drums, cooked in the fire.
Ask those you see and observe with abilities of the night,
Trained in glory and fighting power, so speedy like the light.

We became servants as souls offering gems of flesh,
Eating the flesh of boulders when fasting was prescribed.
What are the riches of a mad man or a mad professor?
His knowledge overrides the ones who know and hide.

Beyond the mountainous wastes is a river of doubt and climb,
My feeling is sudden, my valleys arrive as a shoulder drives.
Thought is a boy or girl, who designs the universe with one eye,
Which my blood fills with ghostly music of the lungs and hind.
