Biblically Persuaded Poem by Randy McClave

Biblically Persuaded

Rating: 5.0

Cheating on me is quiet easy
That of course is if you are sleazy,
Whatever you might say I will always believe
I'll believe in you as Adam had believed in Eve.
I know that you would never lie or cheat
And never from my side would you ever retreat,
And I know proudly that I'd stand by your side
As a man would stand beside his beautiful bride.
I'll trust in you whatever you might say
Especially when you go to church with me on Sunday,
I would believe as instructed by the Messiah
I would trust you, as Samson had trusted Delilah.
Lying to me is also quiet simple
All you have to do is smile and show me your dimple,
Or tell me that you and I make a happy pair
And for me alone you will always love and care.
Whatever you say or do I will always accept
Even if you had screamed or sighed or wept,
I will always believe whatever that you might tell
As King Ahab had trusted and believed in his wife Jezebel.
Unto you I could not ever cheat or tell you any lies
If I did I know that I would forever agonize,
And I could not ever want to see you suffer or in any pain
Whether spiritually, physically I couldn't accept it in my brain.
I would never, ever lie to you at all
I would never want to see you suffer or stumble or fall,
In sin or deception I don't want you cursed and caught;
As was the wife of Lot.
