Big Joko Poem by Francis Duggan

Big Joko is tall, barrel chested and physically strong
But he will not harm you if you do not do him wrong
One never found to be wanting when put to the test
And anyone who has challenged him has come out second best
He is not the type for to be pushed around
And anyone who has challenged him has hit the ground
A family man with a young son and daughter and a wife
Joko would protect his family with his life
In his late twenties in his physical prime
A carpenter by trade he has worked for the one building firm for at least five years in time
Big Joko is a generous and humorous bloke
He enjoys nothing better than a good laugh at a joke
But he is not the type of fellow from a challenge to back down
Though he is one of the nicest and kindest people of the town.
