Bijaya Dashami Poem by Medha Upreti

Bijaya Dashami

Young and old
fly kites.
Children swing
in the leenge peeng.
Temple bells ring.
Fruits are sold.
Relatives gather,
meals become feasts.
Red tika, green jamara,
new clothes and gifts,
all are merry
on Bijaya Dashami.
