Billions - Poem by Marianne Reninger
Where does it stop.
Who out there has the biggest yacht?
Who out there has the biggest diamond,
Shoveled by the fingers of a thousand
Who out there has the deepest well,
Cold and Pure, and ready to sell?
Who out there digs deep for oil,
Gathering all of earth's richest spoils?
Who out there owns acres of land,
Ready for intruders with gun in their hand?
And not for justice, peaceful co-existence,
Simple humanistic, gentle logistics,
But for Power and Billions they gather
Their Spoils, and Absolution from god-given
'Short'comings....Marianne Larsen Reninger
