Birthday Well-Wishes....Appreciated Poem by James B. Earley

Birthday Well-Wishes....Appreciated

Author's note:
A word of appreciation to my voluminous Facebook friends....around...the "Globe! "

.......Birthday greetings well-intended
World's continents represented...
Sending gracious salutations along my way
Despite varied aches and pains
.....I have little....to complain
On balance...what a good....and proper day

In the twilight of my time
....Your graciousness....still I find
'Tis late December....of life's final...sunset
.......To you all.....I commend
My many caring Facebook friends....
All of whom I "know"...though few....I've ever met

Please accept this note of thanks
.....Extract wisdom from the pranks
My one and only intent throughout the span
.....Eleven years......as I recall
Communicating....with you all.....
Throughout...I've tried to be a good and decent man

...Of the criticisms....I write
Without malice nor spite....
Non greater love for this nation than mine
....Whatever offerings I share
Comprehend...then compare...
What you see is what you get...I'm thus....defined

And so despite varied aches and pains
.....I have little......to complain
On balance it was a good and proper day
...Birthday greetings...complimenting
World's continents representing....
Precious salutations....fondly sent...along my way
