As you wake up this morning
on this very special and lovely day—
did you breathe a prayer to God above
to thank him for another wonderful year
and bestow your life into his hands
a life of hope, faith, love and trust

As you face another exciting year
did you ask for his wisdom
to grant you an obedient heart
and lead you along the way
to deliver you from the evil one

As you depend on him each day
did you commit this new year to him
and the months to come ahead of you
did you thank him for his limitless love
and the guidance of his word and spirit
may his perfect will be done this year
his plans for you before you were born

‘Into your loving hands my gracious LORD,
I commit my life again this year, ' as you pray
‘all glory and honor be yours, almighty Father! '
as your humbly servants bow our heads to you—
‘Inshallah! Shalom! Hallelujah!
So be it! Amen, amen and amen! '
