Bitter Strawberries

Rating: 5.0

You seem to rise again,
Like an advancing angel,
Over the sun,
You flutter,
Wings spread wide,
Feathers flapping,
Sweeping the skies,
To search without a purpose,
To press the near and far together,
Together as one,
Ending up in fields of bitter strawberries,
Their taste changing your mood,
Your mood for watching and caring,
Wide-eyed with confusion,
What are these awful fruits of darkness?

When day turns to night,
The demon takes you over,
Light no more,
Only a circle of sadness,
The desperate moon,
Brings the rain down,
Falling for eternity,
You sweep in your glory,
This time with no mercy,
You curve and blaze,
Trying to forget,
The drops of water covering,
Covering the tears you cry.
