Black And White Photograph Poem by Nelson G. Remache

Black And White Photograph

If it is a burden, why not dropped it?
If you where miles away-
Should run to reach you and hold your hand?
As if hope was still a burning spark.
If I could only run a bit faster,
Indeed, I could catch with you,
Walking along the straight road...
Was it a dream? A nightmare perhaps?
You walk a normal phase or even slower...
Your colorful skirt swirl with the playful wind.
But I kept running, with my heart on my hands,
Hearing its thunderous desire.
Yet you kept walking...at a slow phase.
How could I not reach you, when you were so close?
I wonder this...and as I wonder, I keep running.
I run, for if I stop...
From my eyes you will vanish into the stars,
Along the straight long road.
Yes, I remember now, I truly do.
I looked at your absence with anguish.
Could it be the photograph of you?
If it is...no matter how far or fast I run
My road will eternally be long,
But I will keep and you.
You will be there...
