the vast barriers
of what is
what was
has left me
wanting more
to live for
what tomorrow
has promised

the torturing
of my mind
has left me behind
to race the clutch
against time
leftover impressions
of sunshine
take the wheel
dare I ever find
such dreams
preserved in glass
