Black Child Poem by Cherokee Akan Ewe

Black Child

raise up...
during the reign
of the Sun
like the butterfly rejuvenate
the cobra rejuvenate
even the mint called grass
raise up
like the social security age is not your age and never was
you best know your own human body clock and know what a Trust Fund is
cause these unintelligible monsters ain't gon tell ya nothing
and they feel happy indeed to their ignorance of perfection telling you about nothing concerning you
especially if you Black...
let the shine hit your leaves and stalk your own path with an ambitious positivity
and don't forget tah bee
Black SupraSoul i fill you?
then fulfilling the next half empties and fully emptied Black Child (echoing) ....
