Black Hole Poem by DR KUSUMITA MUKHERJEE

Black Hole

Absence makes a grave presence in our hearts
It does not let us neglect even for a moment
But for it we forget the living and breathing
The only thing that bothers us is the gaping black hole.

The vacuum grows at a monstrous rate
It gulps down our virtue
Because we forget to smile pining perennially
It vacates all other moments of happiness that could have been.

Rock solid ground beneath our feet becomes insignificant
The absence is the only solidity that survives
Our heart roasts in embers
We do NOT HAVE so and so
We try with all we have
But lack chokes us at each moment
It is hardly worth a try.

To achieve, one has to be pure
Without concerns.
To get not because we do not do not have
But because we have proven to be worthy.
