Black Licorice Poem by Angelica Ortiz

Black Licorice

I know I can be the sweetest
But
There’s a black licorice lurking in my stomach.
This isn’t the right time to recharge
The tea kettle is shouting
And everyone seems to be ignoring it...

I guess I take it after my father,
Miss Little Cream Soda
