Black Oh Black My Sunshine Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Black Oh Black My Sunshine

Black oh black my sunshine
the days are now gone away,
into the death of its refine
and clouds of morning's gray.
They made me lie beside you
with a heart that is gone,
there's a shadow going through
to give life its sadness on.

But you were not there still
for it was all in times going,
your dreams you cannot fulfill
or time of love to life showing.
It was taken to become still
from your eyes in dreams glowing,
and none will be there evermore
a heartbeat of futures knowing.

Black oh black my sunshine
there was no reason for its why,
only teardrops on the white line
and bounds together in a broken tie.
It was all taken on that day
and nothing was left to revive,
only the shadows from its gray
where made to rise and to give.
