Black Rose Poem by GALEED MAGAGULA

Black Rose

Life, love what to choose
The confusion came that day
That day were I failed to choose
Yes! When I first saw you, everything became grey
That moment that defined my love-life Those seconds led me to Shakespearean world
Those seconds were like my entire life
When I saw you, I saw a new whole world
You redefined my Destiney
You rewrote the chapters of life
After that day my life became honey
After that day I was a child in Disney
You became my Juliet
And for the first time I was Romeo
Life meant more without a bullet
Yes! Life was like Rio
It was a moment too soon
The brightest day came to its knees
The day turn fast into a moon
Titanic brought me to my knees
As I watch helpless
As your breath fled from your body
In that moment I was hopeless
I stood there by your corps
All I saw was my life dead
If only I could replant you like a crop
But my thoughts were all already doomed
Seeing that cold body of yours
My Destiney became a wasteland
All was lost, all I know is I am forever yours.
