Child Of A Murderer Poem by GALEED MAGAGULA

Child Of A Murderer

I remember his conviction
I remember the press all over him
And us like flies all over a dead cops
In one day my life changed
In that day murder was charged
He sentenced to life in prison
For this world became hell and my prison.
I was left without answers
With questions that will never get answers
His work became my demons
To the world we were demons
The offspring of the devil
They say, evil they said
Changing schools like underwear, they were evil
Trying to avoid punches from bullies
Which their parents supported, they real devil.
Not to run away but to stay away
Rats I found freedom at night
In the darkest cloud I paved my way
My future was already decided
The society had already laid my foundation
Not to build my future in their foundation
That on my own I decided
In me they saw another laughing murder
Yet I saw a game changer.
Running was no more an option
Like an eagle my eyes were fixed, I had a vision
My mission was to rid of all my fathers in the world
Like a virus they came at me, to pin and
Pull me down with their word
Like a spring I refused to be stopped
The harder they tried to seal all holes
Like ants I kept opening new holes
Later they lost the will of a fighter
In blue uniform I jailed my fathers, was now a fighter
