Blank Pages (2005) Poem by Patrick Wescott

Blank Pages (2005)

Rating: 5.0

Close the cover and turn out the light.
What once was so captivating has reached an end.
Like a bottle of fine wine, now empty before us,
this story has come to a close.
I held you for months and read between your lines
and let myself be guided through the plot.
Now the story is done, the pages are blank,
and I set you on the shelf with other friends
