Blank Stares Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Blank Stares

I don't mind blank stares
Emptiness is better than a world full of hate
I have encountered crocodile smiles before
They are a mouthful of evil intensions
All I want is a human face
Do not cover it with that fake Love

If you cannot show off your Love
You better look at me with that blank face
Nothing to squash my puffy face full of Love
You better show me your heart full of Love
Radiating with the intensity of life
To brighten my nights and illuminate the world

I have seen hatred on their faces
It's a heavy burden I do not desire
I have seen greed in their eyes
It's a world I do not wish for anyone
I have seen evil in their hearts
It's a far darker world than humanity can bear
