Blasphemer Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Blasphemer

To the lover, his darling is the goddess par excellence
When a slight smile dawns upon her cheeks, it is the heavenliest blossom
And if at all it fades out, he is thrown into utter chaos
And he would rouse gods to bring in redeeming grace
An onlooker might wonder what holds them together so close
Yet might envy their spirited soaring up to the skies
Their love-lit, intoxicated moves stir up mighty ecstatic waves
The extravaganza of love highlights human richness, the blessedness
Brand it folly or vanity, then, you are a blasphemer, sinner fallen from grace
