Blinded Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua - Amopho

Blinded

My presence was refreshing
My words were comforting
And my voice was soothing
Though your sight impaired
Your heart was unimpaired
And you welcomed me then
Your hug was full and gentle
Your words were affirming

But now a sudden irritation
And in the clearness of day
When your sight is restored?
Are you not now blinded?
Your hug is stern and abrupt
Your heart is now impaired
And your words reproving
Your sight has betrayed you
