Thick, white flurries
Cast by Winter’s hand
Hastily chasing down
Like an hourglass’s sand
Snow as bright as whiteness
Sky as white as snow
Branches shaking, shivering, breaking
Falling to ground below
The watery sun, in valiant struggle
Stretches to break free
As the snow is getting thicker, quicker
Many waters freeze
God has given us the winter
This blurry blow of flakes
Not to think about downfalls
Or realize our mistakes
But to rejoice in every moment
And thank Him for His gifts
Marvel at His masterpiece
Of blizzardy, snowy drifts
And once the blizzard’s passed behind
And the sun breaks through at last
We see the sparkling, dazzling snow
Shinier than glass
