An uncivilized war is going on
Citizens are dying and cops are killing
Is this an open season
To murder adversaries in the ring?
The police are combative and crazy
So are the victims
Things are nasty and deadly
Many evil or lousy teams
Are losing big time
I am not betting a dime
To witness a détente, to see a ceasefire
Things are horrendous and dire
I see too many victims
Watch the videos, watch the films
The cops are kerflooey, cruel and crazy
The victims are brave, defiant and unruly
These are bad formulae, wrong combinations
Many wars are going on. These are devastations
The streets are dangerous and bloody
Rivers of blood are in rage, in action
There are myriads unrests going on
Silence, procrastination and inaction
Are unacceptable. Together
We're in this mess. Sisters, we can do better
Things will get worse eventually
If writers and journalists don't write
If poets and preachers don't describe
What's going on in the agitated and crazy
Cities. Brothers, we all need to contrite
Yet, the doctors cannot oversubscribe
At this bloody time, when too many zombies
Are roaming the streets, when too many killers
Are assassinating elderlies, toddlers and babies
And when people are dropping like ripe pears
In the jungles. Bloody rivers, bloody snow, bloody rain
That's what we all see. We're all in pain
Cool heads need to prevail
The sea is rough with high waves. It is very windy
This is not the right time to sail
A deadly virus is violent and too cozy
The planes are crashing in the sky
It is too early to say good bye
It is time to have a new Commander
This is the wrong hour to dream and to wonder
We're already living a nightmare
And experiencing wars that we no longer bare
The scenes are bloody and so are the videos
We all need to stand on our toes
To eradicate the ills of our societies
That are killing babies and destroying our cities
Hell is here, not anywhere else. Hell is right here
We all can see, we all can hear
Even though, it is hard to breathe fresh air
These days. And we cannot afford to dare
Not to wear a mask, otherwise, we all will be dead
At this time, we are all fed up, depressed and very sad
We all see violence, blood and chaos. And we all see red.
P.S. I had no joy writing this poem.
Simply think, think deep about our world.
