Blue Lamentations



In the wintry realms of night:
Egg shell white faces
Appear in life's troubled fires.
Beauty's flesh burns
In metaphorical flames.
Yesterday's spectres
Always haunt today's dreaming.
Sleep beckons me from
The other side of evening.
