Blurred Memories Poem by Elsa Bear

Blurred Memories

Rating: 4.0

it's 5am and i'm still awake.
you're in my head again,
invading my thoughts and stealing my peace of mind.
i'm trying to sleep but i can hear you,
your voice,
your laugh.
i can see you smiling at me,
looking at me the way you used to.
you used to smile at me so often,
across the room,
you'd smile over conversations,
a smile only for me.
and now you smile for her.
my head feels so blurry,
you stop me sleeping,
from moving on,
you keep me awake with memories.
