Blurred Reflection Poem by Wendelin Weird

Blurred Reflection

I am the moon on a cloudy night
Bearing the burden of trying to shine bright
Struggling against this relentless storm
To deceive you I fake a smile and preform
I must ensure my feelings remain obscure
But how long must i endure
The life that I lead is far from mine
It seems my out look is what I must redefine
I'm lost to the far away edges of the sky
Wishing to end it all with a simple goodbye
Each day becomes blurred into the next
How to mend results of the past keep my mind perplexed
I carry with me the woes of a heart that will not mend
Trying to believe hope is just around the bend
