The boy wonders but he doesn't ask,
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask;
Bearing the burden of a heart she can not mend,
She often hopes that it will all come to an end;
However she can not preform the fatal task;
Does he still like me? Do I dare ask?
Her mind is in a shaded place,
With no one to comfort her in a loving embrace;
She feels as if he does not even know her name,
She thought she knew him; but that was just a game
He opened up her heart only to leave it in a destroyed state
she truly thought he could be her soul mate
The boy sits at home alone
he stares off into the unknown
his mind remains in an deep abyss
he wonders if he should have moved in for the kiss
However he never shows vulnerability, nor removes his mask
Do I open up? Could she still like me? he asks
Neither one asks the other
even though they secretly still like one another
she remains tormented about losing her chance
he remains ignorant to their untold romance
they never again speak more than the occasional hi
both young hearts were still to shy
however their feelings for each other never weakened or rot
but they are the two broken hearts that the world forgot!
broken without hurting! success always favours the brave... good narrative style...the opening stanza lines really good...10
