Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize Poem by Raymond Farrell

Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize

Setting aside
The question of merit
Or lack thereof
Let us all sing
Glory Hallelujah
Because this prize
Pokes the literary elite
In the eye
It's a solid kick
In the groin
Giving the Nobel Prize in Literature
To someone
Who never published a single poem
In one of their little journals
Where 90% of the poems
Come from people
With letters after their names
Telling everyone
They too belong to the club
Well now that we've dropped them to their knees
Lets finish off these parasites
By getting on with writing
Something comprehensible
And above all
Relevant
